Volcanic breccia of tuff containing few crystalline elements and glass or clay allophane cement. Erosion and chemical decomposition process leading to white opal silica crust. Survey of sculptures. Tests on treatment with sodium siliconate, polysiloxane resin, synthetic resin in cellosolve. Original red colour on some statues.
