Abstract
The Henry Peach Robinson albumen print Bringing Home the May (1862) underwent conservation treatment in the Harry Ransom Humanities Research Center, University of Texas. Albumen prints were commonly made from wet plate collodion negatives. This print was mounted poorly, and the print itself was in poor condition. The conservation treatment, which is described in detail, produced a more secure and stable physical structure and slowed chemical deterioration.
