This selective review of the analysis of surfactants includes books, symposia, and journals published during the period 1975-1980. The citations are the result of a thorough searching of Chemical Abstracts and several journals devoted to analyses. Several hundred references were screened, reviewed, and sorted prior to preparing the final draft. We focused on the most important advances in the analyses of surfactants, and thus, we did not attempt to provide and all-inclusive bibliography.
