Abstract
The Australian War Museum in Canberra illustrates the effects of passive environmental features in buildings in a dry climate with evenly spread annual rainfall. Use of carpets and unsealed timbers as well as storage of paper based materials provide buffering against climatic fluctuations. Rapid stabilization of relative humidity after a flood illustrate this effect.
