Abstract
Two case studies of problem-specific climate control faced by the PowerHouse Museum, Sydney are described. Humidity in an underground concrete security vault was initially controlled with silica gel. Later, a dehumidifier was installed. A problem of mould development on leather of a 1910 horse drawn cab was controlled by building a small tent buffered with silica gel to contain the cab.
