Abstract
The author investigated a <ime makie box whose outer surfaces have <ime (plum) blossoms and trees made by scattering silver powder on <irushi ground by the makie technique. The box contains several boxes, each of which has makie on its surface and contains some kinds of cosmetics such as face powder, black tooth paints, etc. The author concludes that the <ime makie box might have been made in the middle of the 13th century. -- AATA
