Abstract
A <sub>14</sub>C calibration sample used by L. et al. (1976) to date fossil wood from Kalambo Falls, Zambia, was incorrectly identified as Sangoan. Thus, amino acid racemization dates have no bearing on the Acheulian-Sangoan transition. -- AATA
