Abstract
Specimens of carbon steel, low alloy steel, CA122 (99.9Cu) and CA706(Cu/10Ni) were corrosion tested in flowing deaerated, decarbonated sea water (pH7, 25 ppm O<sub>2</sub>) at 110-121°C under desalination plant conditions. Corrosion rates were determined by weight loss and electrochemical measurements, and the effects of an inhibitor comprising a chromate plus phosphate-phosphonate on the corrosion and scale formation were investigated. -- AATA
