The chronology of treatments for the conservation of iron artifacts at the Landesmuseum in Stuttgart is painstakingly followed and consists of the following: x-ray, electrolytic desalination, drying at 150°C with immediate evacuation, and impregnation with Plexisol. After that, mechanical treatments follow: air abrasive, sanding, glueing, replacements, and possibly a second electrolytic desalination.
