Corrosion of bronzes in soil is described. Danish bronzes generally do not permit chemical cleaning, but the standard procedures are mentioned. For stabilization sodium sesquicarbonate, silver oxide, benzotriazole and G. Rosenberg's tinfoil method are recommended. -- AATA
