Although Josiah Wedgwood never produced porcelain commercially, he carried out experiments on porcelain bodies and collected information about the activities of porcelain makers. This paper includes technical information derived from his archives on China frit etc from Mr Holdship, 1769, (the Worcester soapstone body) and Information from a Chinese man on the Chinese method of manufacturing their chinaware. -- AATA
