Techniques used for the excavation and restoration of mosiacs are de scribed in detail. Araldite GY 250 with hardener HY 380 and HY 850 was used. With this adhesive, it is possible to glue on a moist ground and in the rain. The new mounting of a mosaic is done with Araldite or polyester resin and aluminum honeycomb supports, obtainable from Aeroveb, made by Ciba-Geigy, Basel. R.W. -- AATA
