Abstract
Characteristics of a special type of potting clay found in Nubia may allow discrimination between pottery fabricated in Nubia in the late 2nd century BC through the first half of the 1st century AD from similar ware made in Egypt. X-ray diffraction and other analytical methods were used to identify characteristics of the clay. -- AATA
