This entry consists of excerpts from Ingres Centennial Exhibition 1867-1967 of drawings, watercolors and oil sketches from American Collections at the Fogg Art Museum, Harvard University, February 12 - April 9, 1967. For this catalogue the Fogg Art Museum's Ingres drawings and many of those sent by lenders were unframed, and a technical re-examination of each was undertaken. As expected, new pigments were identified, previously unknown watermarks and stamps were discovered, and in one case a sketch on the verso of a sheet was uncovered.
