Abstract
Metals can be saved from corrosion by using vapor phase inhibitors (V.P.I. ), provided display is inside enclosed showcases. The author mentions the importance, the mechanism, classification, methods of use, life and limitations of V.P.I. Some of the V.P.I. for iron objects are cyclohexyl ammonium carbonate and di-cyclohexyl ammonium nitrite. They are used in a solution. Cyclohexyl ammonium carbonate is claimed to provide complete inhibition of the corrosion of iron objects. See also <i>AATA 12-48. -- AATA
