Abstract

The toxicology of formaldehyde released from fabrics made of cellulose and cellulose rich polyester blends during and after resin treatment, in storage where hydrolysis occurs in the presence of moisture, is studied. The chemical composition of the reactant, the stability of the reactant to hydrolysis and its reactivity, catalysts, and fabric preparation are major variables in the toxicology. -- AATA
