Abstract
More material fails under humidity testing than virtually all others - such as shock, vibration, salt spray and sand and dust - combined. Thus the question of validity is frequently raised on all sides: Manufacturers complain that the humidity testing is unrealistic, while users report service failures due to humidity exposure of materials that successfully passed the specification testing.
