Abstract
Three individuals from the Alvastra pile-dwelling, ca 4500 BP, have been studied as regards food intake. The methods used are measurements of 13C-content and the strontium/calcium (Sr/Ca) ratio in bone tissue. The diet is demonstrated to have been remarkably similar. It was dominated by plant food; there are no appreciable traces of marine food. -- AATA
