The paper includes technical information, drawings, and chemical analyses of 11 copper alloy items from the hoard, plus analyses of three comparison ingots from elsewhere. The analyses indicate that tin was used sparingly and when used to make bronze, was applied where a hard cutting edge (e.g. for tools) was needed. Unalloyed copper was the general metal used for tools and fittings. The trace element pattern is of low silver and antimony and relatively high iron and cobalt. A pure copper ingot was included in the analyses, all of which were done by atomic absorption. -- AATA
