Abstract
An algorithm is presented by which the spectral difference between a reflective standard and a matched scattering colorant mixture may be minimized. The spectral reflectivity of standard and predicted color are found to be in good agreement, yielding better color matching than may be achieved by tristimulus matching. The method may also prove to be of use in systems where it is necessary to match reflectivities in the ultraviolet or infrared regions of the spectrum. -- AATA
