Abstract
The urban regeneration scheme of the historic core of Old Edinburgh (Scotland) started in 1982 and finished in 1987. It covered 184 separate properties in 17 tenements, most of which are mainly residential. Rehabilitation and restoration work is briefly described. Work included major stonework replacements, from chimney stacks, window and door surrounds to stepped gables, carved ornamental work, etc. The new stone was a mix of several buff coloured sandstones. Photographs, drawings of building elevations and a site plan of the area.
