Abstract
During a 1982 visit to Stockholm, Uppsala, Gävle, and Gotland, the author investigated the current situation of Swedish museums, ancient architecture, and ruins. From the point of view of the Chinese conservator, the author discusses Swedish developments in the science and technology of conservation and suggests ways the Chinese can learn from Sweden's success. -- AATA
