Abstract
Archeological guidelines are the focus of research by The Analytic Sciences Corp. for the US Government Office of Nuclear Waste Isolation to determine the most suitable markers for a toxic waste site in the state of Washington. By reviewing ancient monuments and their preservation, and studying the degradation mechanisms of stone, a general plan for a durable, survivable marking system is being designed. -- AATA
