Describes the ongoing research at the late Neolithic site of Galgenberg, in the Bavarian Alps. Analysis of lipids, done by gas chromatography on an ether extract of the pottery, clearly indicates the presence of wild boar fat in certain vessels. This concurs with the high incidence of boar and pig bones found at the site, and suggests the diet of the occupants. -- AATA
