The paintings are, Manfredi's <i>Allegory of the Four Seasons, Saraceni's <i>Judith with the Head of Holofernes, Guercino's <i>St. Paul the Hermit, and <i>Christian Charity. There is a discussion of the authenticity of each painting based on evidence of x-rays, cleaning, cross sections of the paint film. In the technical reports on each painting there is a discussion of the canvas, the ground and the results of pigment analysis.
