In three sections, the authors discuss acrylic paintings from the Point of view of conservation. Discussion focuses on choice of the best acrylic paint (suggestions given), drying the painting properly, and choosing the best varnish. Choice of a varnish which is easy to remove without also removing the acrylic paint underneath is crucial. With care, acrylic paint may be used by artists and the paintings safely bought by investors and safely cleaned when necessary. -- AATA
