Abstract
As its title indicates, this monograph presents the efforts undertaken since September 1986 to study, research, analyze, and determine a course of action for both the emergency consolidation and final conservation treatment of the wall paintings in the tomb of Nefertari, on the west bank of the Nile in the Valley of the Queens, Luxor region, Egypt. One chapter listing the most serious previous interventions and nine chapters reporting preliminary research results are abstracted in the present AATA issue; other chapters include historical and archaeological information. An additional one by the editor gives data on the project background. The project members are listed. For abstracts of individual chapters, see AATA * 325-18, 25-62, 25-92, 25-148, 25-432, 25-466, * 325-517*1, 25-518, 25-531, and 25-535. -- AATA
