The article provides new data on goldsmiths from the Dalmatian town of Trogir, and their handicraft from the 13th to the 17th centuries. These artisans continued the work of ancient Croatian goldsmiths from the early Middle Ages. The article completes the picture of the development of plastic arts and artistic life in Trogir, where architecture and plastic arts flourished during the period. Numerous Trogir goldsmiths are listed, the majority of which were autochthonous. Some of their handicraft are presented, especially silver and gilt silver cult objects, which bear the imprint and characteristics of the local handicraft. Also presented are fragments of archival documents which show that the inhabitants of Trogir possessed numerous objects of gold and silver (adornments, vases, cutlery, etc.) which were artistically executed. Unfortunately, many of the objects are lost, or have been melted for the purpose of making new objects. -- AATA
