Abstract
The evolution of space suits from the 1930s through the 1970s demonstrates the remarkable growth in aerospace technology. This paper gives a brief description of the suits in the American collection, causes of their present state of degradation, conservation treatment plans, and conservation research into the organic causes of their degradation. -- CAL
