Abstract
A note. Paper conservators have complained of throat irritation, nausea and/or symptoms of allergy when ironing newspapers for storage. The lubricating oils in current inks may partly volatize when heated and cause allergic responses, or manufacturers may use oils containing impurities which might affect conservators. Cellulose dust, mold, or fungus spores may produce allergies particularly in people with asthma. -- AATA
