A new case of scroll insect damage was found in which brown camel crickets, Diestrammena apicalis Brunner von Wattenwyl, a species of camel crickets, Orthoptera Stenopelmatidae, caused some particularly severe damage. A few cases of scroll damage and analogous damage caused by other insects in Japan are listed. -- AATA
