Abstract
Based on the author's own experience and observations made during visits to numerous facilities such as libraries and book repositories in Japan, he urges that special attention be paid when such facilities are built. Air conditioning equipment tends to be inadequate, and old facilities relying on natural ventilation sometimes seemed to give a better preservation environment. Some useful suggestions for building a new facility are given. -- AATA
