Electroosmosis and electrophoresis (against rising damp), with a vertical isolation on mineral basis (against lateral humidity) and an insulating plaster (against surface condensation) are presented as a successful combination for drying and restoring walls of basements and arched cellars from the inside. Completed with possible treatments against soluble salts and for pest control, this soft technique proved in many instances to be an economical and long lasting solution. -- AATA
