Abstract
Construction on the Casino at Marino, (Dublin) began in 1758 and was completed ca. 1771. The building was renovated in the 1830's but partially destroyed by fire in 1849. The state bedroom and saloon underwent major structural repairs between 1930 and 1932. Recently, a major study of paint samples from all of the rooms was undertaken prior to a restoration of the original decorative color scheme. The author provides a detailed description of the findings of the study and the restoration work which followed. -- AATA
