The Bay Foundation (United States) has awarded grants to three museums -- the Art Institute of Chicago, the Arizona State Museum, and the Los Angeles County Museum of Natural History -- for the development and implementation of a pilot training program which will produce Collections Care Specialists. The 70 people who will participate in the programs will receive training in conservation, curatorial techniques, and registration in preparation for jobs in which they will plan and implement long-term care and maintenance procedures. -- AATA
