Abstract
Damage perception of structures by the use of infrared thermography and infrared reflectography is described. The fundamental concepts involved in the three ways of recording infrared radiation are reviewed. Procedures to detect delaminations, fissures, moisture penetration, etc. are discussed. Previous work in this regard is sited.Computer aided analysis of infrared images is discussed and presented as a future possibility in making these techniques even more valuable.
