Discusses conservation ethics. Documentation of conservation treatment records the manner in which tenets established in the Code (AIC Code of Ethics) have been met by the conservator. Presentation focuses upon whether the rules governing two-dimensional artworks are applicable to three-dimensional objects. The dilemma for the conservator is to find appropriate and ethical treatments that address the problem of corrosion, while remaining sensitive to the aesthetic needs of each individual sculpture.
