A brief historical survey of the ethnographic conservation at the National Museum in Copenhagen is given. Currently short of space and with inadequate facilities by modern standards, a total renovation is in progress (described). Finally some conservation activities are described, including determining insecticide residues on Eskimo clothing, and treatment of artifacts from the original Kunstkammer collection.
