Abstract
Complete control was obtained of larvae of the pecan weevil, Curculio caryae (Horn), that were infesting pecans by exposing the nuts to 43.3 C and 60% RH for 24 hr. No change in the flavor or the lipid content of the nuts was discerned immediately after treatment or during 5 months of storage at 2.2 C.
