Abstract
This entry describes experiments that demonstrated that the elements in unweathered minerals that were added to natural soils became soluble by natural processes and were taken up by tree roots, and then translocated to stems and leaves in a period of 7 years under normal environmental conditions of the Central Rocky Mountain region of the US.
