Metal objects excavated from <i>Kannon-Yama tomb were first cleaned by removing the rust as completely as possible by mechanical means or washing with alcohol, and then reinforced by vacuum impregnation of an emulsion of acrylic resin <i>(Primal NVI). Peeled and broken parts were then joined and lost portions were replaced with a mixture of <i>micro<i>balloon and adhesives. -- AATA
