Presents the first results of chemical, crystallographic, and microscopic analyses of four sets of salt, plaster, paint, and gypsum samples taken from the wall paintings in the tomb of Nefertari. These were undertaken to verify previous findings, provide additional information on the composition and deterioration of the plasters and paint layers in the tomb in order to establish a basis for planned future treatments.
