Presents some examples of interventions on archaeological sites in Quebec and attempts to provide a picture of the current situation. On historic and prehistoric sites, work mainly consists in taking stratigraphic and contextual sections, as well as in situ moldings. The protection of stone constructions poses a problem as they are liable to fall apart through natural causes as well as human neglect. In all cases, staff and equipment shortages compel us to make selections on the basis of the rarity of the data to preserve and/or the uniqueness of the context. -- AATA
