Abstract
The treatment of a deteriorated painted silk banner is discussed in detail. The use of a paste lining applied on a vacuum table is a new technique which has been refined by the authors in subsequent treatments. The treated piece which is discussed was framed in a sealed case buffered at 20% rh. -- ICCROM
