Abstract
The Thermatrol energy system, a thermal window and frame appropriate for use in historic structures, is described; the acrylic frame is fitted onto the inside of the existing window and the acrylic pane slips into this frame. The thermal window system is light, easy to install, and resistant to breaking. Its disadvantage is that it must be treated like an ordinary combustible material.
