The eight contributions presented at a workshop for registrars, curators, administrators, and conservators deal with the sociological and psychological aspects of disaster planning, as well as the technical details. Of particular interest to the conservator are articles on protecting historic structures from hurricane and earthquake damage, safeguarding a collection from damage during a seismic event, and developing an emergency plan.
