Abstract
The article describes an electrolytic reduction method used on coins from archaeological sites. The method is based on a very weak sodium hydroxide solution and a current density of maximum 150 milliamperes. To minimize the deposition of metal ions from the anode a diaphragm is introduced between the anode and the object. -- AATA
