Abstract
Polyester film used for encasements was found to have advantages over lamination, particularly for the physical protection of maps, posters and classes of manuscript collections. Polyester film permits avoidance of traditional adhesives for repair and strengthening which can be difficult to remove. The complete text of the library of congress publication polyester film encapsulation is given.
