Abstract
A 16th-century leather painting of Mary Magdalene was conserved at the Musée de la Potterie, Brussels, Belgium, where it had been sent for treatment of its support. The painting was deformed, torn, and encrusted with oil paper over its losses. The technical aspects of the painting are described. The conservation treatment is reported and environmental storage conditions are recommended.
