Abstract
An article describing mechanical lamination carried out in libraries and archives in Spain from 1970 to 1990. Covers techniques, papers for reinforcement (Kuranai, Manila hemp, polyester or nylon, fiber tissue) paper for inserts (Arakaji, Kozn, Udagami), and thermoplastic materials used polyethylene was preferred. Includes conclusions on tested adhesives including cellulose acetate, polyamide, and polyethylene. Adhesives preferred for heat-set tissue were Paraloid and Plexigum, Primal and Plextol. Finally, discusses lamination and reintegration criteria.
